Domestic Students:  Student health insurance is MANDATORY for all full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students (12 credits or more) and degree-seeking graduate students (9 credits or more). Eligible students are automatically enrolled in the  Florida Institute of Technology Student Health Insurance Plan unless they WAIVE coverage by providing proof of comparable coverage by the waiver deadline.

International Students:  All eligible international students are automatically enrolled in and charged the premium on their student account for Florida Tech’s Student Health Insurance Plan unless they WAIVE coverage by providing proof of comparable coverage by the waiver deadline, or unless they are officially sponsored by their home government or agency that guarantees their health insurance fees as part of the student’s contract with Florida Tech. Exceptions to this mandatory Student Health Insurance Plan requirement may be granted only if you have an insurance plan meeting Florida Tech’s very strict requirements. For waiver consideration, you must submit proof of other health insurance by completing an online waiver prior to the published waiver deadline date.  No submissions will be considered after this date.
